Tom Hardy's MobLand Fixer Drives an Aston Martin DBX in Season 2
Aston Martin confirms the DBX as Harry Da Souza's ride when the Paramount+ hit returns September 18 — after a "Chaos Reigns" DBX already lapped Monza with the cast aboard.
Tom Hardy's on-screen fixer is getting a company car. Aston Martin confirmed today that the DBX serves as Harry Da Souza's vehicle in the second season of MobLand, which lands on Paramount+ tomorrow, September 18.
The placement was hard to miss at the show's London premiere last week, where a black DBX covered in painted-on bullet holes and the tagline "Chaos Reigns" sat outside the Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square.
The tie-up goes beyond set dressing. Earlier this month, a DBX wearing the same livery ran demonstration laps at the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix in Monza, with cast members Emmett J. Scanlan and Mandeep Dhillon riding along. That venue was no accident: a DBX707 has served as F1's official medical car since 2023. Aston Martin says more joint marketing will follow as the season rolls out.
For the automaker, MobLand is about as safe a bet as television offers right now. The Guy Ritchie-produced crime drama delivered the biggest global series launch in Paramount+ history, drawing 2.2 million first-day viewers according to the streamer, and went on to reach 26 million over its first season. A third season was confirmed earlier this month, before the second has even aired.
Aston Martin calls the DBX "the world's most powerful luxury SUV," a claim that comes with fine print. The current flagship, the DBX S, makes 717 hp (727 PS) and 664 lb-ft of torque from its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, with turbo hardware borrowed from the upcoming Valhalla supercar, and the company's own U.S. site narrows the boast to SUVs running on combustion power alone. Ferrari's V12 Purosangue sits two horsepower back at 715, while the plug-in hybrid Lamborghini Urus SE clears both at 789 hp.
Neither company has said which DBX variant appears on screen, and the commercial terms of the deal remain undisclosed. Season 2 runs weekly on Paramount+ through November 20.
