Bentley's Copernicus Collection Is a Three-Car Solar System for Poland
Mulliner and Bentley Warsaw turned a Continental GTC S and two GT S coupes into one-off tributes to the Sun, Earth, and Moon — planets stitched in, Spotify playlist included.
Bentley has built exactly three cars for Poland, and each one plays a celestial body. The Nicolaus Copernicus Collection — developed by the company's Mulliner bespoke division — pairs a "Sun" convertible with "Earth" and "Moon" coupes, all based on the Continental GT S and GTC S and commissioned through Bentley Warsaw as a tribute to the astronomer who put the sun at the center of the solar system.
The thread running through all three cars is what Bentley calls the Copernicus Diagram, an eight-planet orbital motif spanning Mercury through Neptune. It appears on the center console, in the front and rear quilting panels, on the welcome lamps, and on the convertible's tonneau cover.
The Sun car is the open one: a Continental GTC S in Manuka Orange, with an orange main hide over Gravity Grey secondary leather, Copper Stone veneer on the dashboard and door waistrails, and orange stitching and carpet binding to match.
Earth is a GT S coupe wearing a bespoke Nebula Blue exterior over an Aegean Blue main hide with Imperial Blue accents, Galaxy Stone veneer, silver contrast piping, and a satin-painted center console in Imperial Blue.
Moon, the third car, is another GT S coupe finished in bespoke Moonstruck silver over a dark Beluga interior, with light Ice leather picking out the seat bolsters, headrests, center console, and door inlay stripes.
Mechanically, the trio is untouched S-grade hardware. All three carry the 671-hp plug-in-hybrid V8 with 686 lb-ft of torque, plus the Performance Active Chassis, gloss-black 22-inch wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a titanium sport exhaust. Bentley quotes 0–60 mph in 3.3 seconds for the coupe, 3.6 for the convertible, and a 191-mph top speed for both.
The ownership extras lean hard into the collector angle: bespoke treadplates, a matching key box, an individual fragrance, pocket squares and scarves inspired by the collection — and a dedicated Spotify playlist.
The Copernicus trio is the latest entry in a fast-growing genre: regional collections that Bentley retailers commission directly from Mulliner. Bentley Stuttgart marked its 15th anniversary last October with a three-car Black Forest Collection, while Bentley Rancho Mirage in California has taken two — the Expressions of Texture set in 2024 and the first Ombré by Mulliner collection a year later. For Bentley, these programs push its highest-margin bespoke work through the dealer network; for the dealers, they mean one-off inventory no rival showroom can match.
Bentley hasn't said what the three cars cost, or whether they are already spoken for. What's certain is that they'll stay in Poland — and that Copernicus, who argued the Earth moves around the Sun, now has an Earth that does 191 mph.
