The 2027 Lexus IS Goes Envious Green: Special Appearance Package Limited to 350 Cars

Lexus will build just 350 examples of the green-painted IS 350 F SPORT for North America. Pricing hasn't been announced, but last year's package points to the low $60,000s.

Lexus is closing out the IS sedan's 25th-anniversary year with a color and a countdown. The 2027 IS Special Appearance Package, shown in Miami at the final stop of the brand's four-city IS 25th Legacy Tour, will be built in a run of 350 cars for North America.

The package starts with the IS 350 F SPORT and adds a new green paint called Envious, plus 19-inch black BBS forged alloy wheels. Inside are black NuLuxe seats with Ultrasuede inserts, green stitching, and satin chrome trim.

Lexus also folds in the option packages buyers would normally pay extra for. Standard equipment includes:

  • Handling Package: F SPORT-tuned adaptive variable suspension, Drive Mode Select, and a Torsen limited-slip rear differential on rear-drive cars
  • Technology Package: Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Change Assist, and Front Cross-Traffic Alert
  • Triple Beam LED headlamps, moonroof, panoramic view monitor, and Mark Levinson audio

Nothing changes under the hood. The 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 carries over with 311 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic or all four through a six-speed.

What it will probably cost

Lexus says pricing will come later, so the useful benchmark is last year's car. The company lists the 2026 IS 350 F SPORT at $49,345 in rear-drive form and $51,345 with all-wheel drive, both including the $1,395 delivery fee.

On top of that, dealer window stickers for the 2026 Special Appearance Package showed the option itself at $12,140. That worked out to roughly $61,500 for a rear-drive example and about $63,500 with all-wheel drive, with listed cars climbing past $65,000 once accessories and fees were added.

Assume the 2027 car lands in the same territory — the low $60,000s for rear-drive, mid $60,000s for all-wheel drive — and treat that as an estimate until Lexus publishes a number.

A smaller lineup to celebrate

The anniversary arrives with a thinner IS range than the one that built the nameplate's reputation. For 2026, Lexus narrowed the lineup to a single IS 350 in two grades, which leaves no V8-powered IS 500 to carry a farewell edition. The green car is a V6 F SPORT with a paint code, not a performance send-off.

Rivals are playing the same game at higher prices. BMW's limited M340i xDrive 50 Jahre Edition, built to mark 50 years of the 3 Series, carries an MSRP of $75,200 before its $1,175 destination charge — a reminder that a badge and a paint chip command a premium across the segment.

Lexus hasn't given a firm on-sale date beyond "later this year," hasn't said how the 350 cars split between rear- and all-wheel drive, and hasn't released full specifications. All of that is promised at a later date.
