The 2027 Lexus RZ Costs $100 More, Keeps 301 Miles and Changes Almost Nothing Else
The 2027 RZ starts at $47,495 with destination, carries over all three powertrains and range estimates, and reaches dealers in early 2027. NACS and M Mode arrived a year ago.

Lexus has priced the 2027 RZ from $47,495 including a $1,395 delivery fee, and the real news is how little has moved. That figure is $100 more than the 2026 RZ 350e, the three powertrains and their manufacturer-estimated range numbers carry over almost unchanged, and the car reaches U.S. dealers in early 2027.
The entry RZ 350e FWD keeps its 221-hp front motor, a 74.69-kWh battery, and a 301-mile estimate on 18-inch wheels. Above it sit the 308-hp RZ 450e AWD at $50,995 and the 402-hp RZ 550e F SPORT AWD at $58,770, the latter still quoting 0–60 mph in 4.1 seconds. Lexus has not published EPA ratings yet; every range figure here is the automaker's own estimate. The NACS port is the same connector Lexus is spreading across its lineup, including the 2027 NX plug-in hybrid it detailed last week.
What moved, and what didn't
Set the 2027 pricing chart next to the 2026 chart Lexus last updated in May and the pattern is plain: three trims rise $100, three rise $375. The 350e goes from $47,395 to $47,495, the 450e AWD from $50,895 to $50,995, and the 450e Luxury from $58,395 to $58,495. The 350e Premium ($49,970), 450e Premium ($53,470), and 550e F SPORT ($58,770) each take the larger bump. All prices include destination.

On the spec sheet the only number that changes is the 450e's range estimate, which slips from about 264 miles to 260 on the same 18-inch wheels. Lexus hasn't said why. Everything else that reads like news in the 2027 release — the NACS (SAE J3400) port on the passenger side, the 11-kW onboard charger, the 10-to-80-percent DC fast charge in about 30 minutes, M Mode's virtual eight-speed shifter with paddles on the 550e — arrived with the 2026 model. The 2027 RZ is a carryover year with a mild price adjustment, not a refresh.

Where $47,495 lands
Strip out destination and the base RZ lists at $46,100, roughly $6,100 above a Tesla Model Y Standard or a 2027 Mustang Mach-E Select RWD, both of which sit within $5 of $40,000 before fees, as we found in our Mach-E vs. Model Y comparison. The Model Y Standard carries an EPA rating of 321 miles, 20 more than Lexus estimates for the 350e, and the 2026 Ioniq 5 SE Standard Range starts at $36,600 with destination. Against the mainstream, the premium buys badge, cabin materials — heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a 14-inch Lexus Interface screen are standard — and quietness, not range or speed.
The closer fight is inside the luxury set. Cadillac's Optiq starts at about $51,800 with up to 317 miles and a native NACS port, as laid out in our Cadillac EV lineup comparison. The RZ undercuts it by more than $4,000 at the bottom of the range, trades a few miles for the saving, and matches the charging connector. At $58,770 the 550e F SPORT no longer has that price advantage, and it offers the shortest range in the lineup, 229 miles on 20-inch wheels.

What's still open
Lexus has not announced an order date beyond "early next year," has not published EPA figures, and has not said whether the $1,750 dealer-installed power upgrade it offered on the 2026 RZ 450e continues for 2027. The release also lists no changes in equipment by grade, so buyers cross-shopping a leftover 2026 should expect the same car for $100 to $375 less. The RZ remains Lexus' entry EV; the three-row 2027 TZ covers the top of the brand's electric lineup. Assembly stays at Motomachi in Japan, and the color list runs Oxygen White, Cloudburst Gray, Iridium, Caviar, Copper Crest, and Ether, with Wind and two-tone options reserved for the F SPORT.
