The Lexus TX Plug-in Is Gone for 2027 — and Every Other Version Costs More
Lexus has cut the 550h+ from the three-row TX lineup, so the priciest version now tops out $5,500 lower, while every remaining model costs $200 to $400 more.

Lexus has trimmed the TX lineup for 2027 and nudged its prices up. The plug-in hybrid TX 550h+ is gone, every remaining version costs more than it did for 2026, and the most expensive TX now tops out at $75,560 instead of $81,060.
Beyond that, the changes are small. Lexus says the TX 350 gets revised tuning for its vacuum brake booster and brake hold function, the TX 500h swaps its DIRECT4 badges for plain AWD lettering, and Premium-grade TX 350s ride on 20-inch wheels in a darker gray finish. Red brake calipers join the F SPORT options list, and Matador Red Mica paint stays available on non-F SPORT models. What the 2027 TX costs
Pricing starts at $58,890 for a front-drive TX 350, including Lexus' $1,550 delivery, processing, and handling fee. That's $200 more than a year ago. Every other version is up $400, based on a comparison with the 2026 TX pricing chart.
- TX 350: $58,890 (+$200)
- TX 350 AWD: $60,490 (+$400)
- TX 350 Premium AWD: $63,290 (+$400)
- TX 350 Luxury AWD: $65,640 (+$400)
- TX 350 F SPORT Handling AWD: $68,160 (+$400)
- TX 500h F SPORT Performance Premium AWD: $72,410 (+$400)
- TX 500h F SPORT Performance Luxury AWD: $75,560 (+$400)

The plug-in is out
The 550h+ was the only TX that could drive on electricity alone. Lexus rated it at 404 total system horsepower with an estimated 33 miles of EV range, and it sat alone at the top of the 2026 price list as a $81,060 Luxury AWD model. The company hasn't said why it dropped the plug-in for 2027.
That leaves two powertrains. The TX 350 uses a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 275 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque, an eight-speed automatic, and front- or all-wheel drive. The TX 500h pairs a 2.4-liter turbo with a six-speed automatic and two electric motors for 366 hp and 406 lb-ft. It's sold only as an F SPORT Performance model, with standard all-wheel drive and rear-wheel steering.

The rest of the package carries over. A 14-inch touchscreen and the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 driver-assistance suite are standard. The second row comes as either captain's chairs or a 60:40 bench, depending on grade. Lexus quotes 20.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, rising to 97 cubic feet with both rear rows folded.

Part of a broader Lexus reshuffle
The TX isn't the only Lexus getting a leaner menu for 2027. The 2027 RX lost its base trim, and the 2027 NX went hybrid-only. For TX buyers who wanted a plug-in three-row Lexus, the lineup no longer offers one.
The 2027 TX is built at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana. Lexus hasn't announced when 2027 models will reach dealers.
