Hyundai Extends Atlanta Braves Deal Through 2029 as Georgia Becomes Its U.S. Hub
Hyundai will stay at Truist Park through 2029, extending a run that began in 2014 — and doubling down on a state where it now builds cars.

Hyundai will remain a sponsor of the Atlanta Braves through the 2029 season, extending a relationship that began in 2014 and has covered the team's entire run at Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta. The renewal, announced September 21, pushes the deal past the 15-year mark.
The package keeps the automaker in the ballpark's most visible spots: outfield wall signage in left field and placements behind the visitors' dugout, both positioned to land in TV broadcasts. Hyundai also stays on as presenting sponsor of Sunday broadcasts on the Braves Radio Network — which the club says reaches 170 markets across eight states, making it the largest radio network in professional sports — plus BravesVision, the team's own TV channel, and the Alumni Sunday autograph sessions held before every Sunday home game at The Battery.

There is a charitable layer as well. Since 2019, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has worked with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta to have a pediatric patient throw the ceremonial first pitch at the Braves' final home game of the season or during Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. The nonprofit, funded by Hyundai Motor America and its more than 855 U.S. dealers, has directed over $7.2 million to the Atlanta hospital since 2005, and its lifetime giving to pediatric cancer research passed $303 million this spring.

The renewal lands as Georgia becomes the center of Hyundai's U.S. manufacturing operations. The company's $7.6 billion Metaplant America in Bryan County, outside Savannah, opened in March 2025 and is expected to employ around 8,500 people building EVs and hybrids, with battery production running as a joint venture with LG Energy Solution. Hyundai Motor America CMO Sean Gilpin called the Braves deal "especially important," pointing to the Metaplant employees who call the state home.

It also fits Hyundai's wider bet on live sports. The brand served as the official mobility partner of the FIFA World Cup 2026, deploying its largest vehicle fleet in the history of a FIFA relationship that dates to 1999 and runs through 2030. The company says it has activations around professional football and college basketball as well.
Neither side disclosed what the extension costs — team sponsorship terms rarely surface. What the deal does confirm is that the automaker now building cars in Georgia plans to keep its logo on the state's biggest sports stage through at least 2029.
