Range Rover Sport Electric: 542 HP, 378 European Miles, No US Price Yet
Land Rover's sportier EV shares the big Range Rover Electric's 542-hp powertrain and 118.5-kWh battery. Britain gets it from £109,810; America has no price or date yet.

The Range Rover Sport has gone fully electric. Land Rover revealed the Range Rover Sport Electric on September 30 with 542 hp (550 PS), 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque, and up to 378 miles (609 km) of range on Europe's WLTP cycle, a figure that usually shrinks under EPA testing.
Orders are open in the UK. For America, JLR hasn't published a price, an on-sale date, or a model year. That gap matters because the full-size Range Rover Electric already takes US orders at $138,000, and the Sport Electric is built around the same hardware.
What JLR has confirmed
Two 260-kW electric motors power all four wheels. With Dynamic Launch Mode engaged, the company quotes 0–60 mph in 4.3 seconds, and its 850 Nm torque figure is the highest of any Range Rover Sport to date.
The 118.5-kWh battery runs on an 800-volt architecture. JLR says a DC fast charger can add 136 miles (220 km) in 10 minutes or take the pack from 10 to 80 percent in about 22 minutes. The automaker's own real-world range estimate is 333 miles.

According to JLR, the body is 61 percent stiffer than the plug-in hybrid Range Rover Sport's, and the center of gravity sits 73 mm (2.9 inches) lower. The chassis gets all-wheel steering, air suspension, twin-valve dampers, and electronic active roll control. Land Rover also claims a 35-inch (900 mm) wading depth and the ability to climb 45-degree slopes.

The lineup runs from Dynamic SE through Dynamic HSE and Autobiography to a First Edition in Zadar Grey with a satin wrap, black roof, and 22-inch wheels. The EV is built in Solihull, England, on the same lines as the gas, diesel, and plug-in hybrid versions, and the battery carries an eight-year, 100,000-mile warranty.

A Range Rover Electric with a different tune
Peak output and battery size match the bigger Range Rover Electric, which JLR rates at 542 hp and 627 lb-ft in the US. The Sport's differences come down to calibration: Land Rover says torque builds 50 percent faster than in the Range Rover Electric, and the Sport gets its own chassis tuning and drive sound.
The number 333 shows up for both SUVs, but it measures different things. For the Range Rover Electric it's an official EPA rating. For the Sport Electric it's JLR's real-world estimate. In Europe, where both are rated on the same WLTP cycle, PistonHeads notes their range figures are virtually identical.
The price gap is wide, at least in Britain. The Sport Electric starts at £109,810 for the Dynamic SE and reaches £126,290 for the First Edition, Auto Express reports. The Range Rover Electric starts at £154,070, roughly £44,000 more.
What we know about the US
Very little is official. Today's gas and plug-in hybrid Range Rover Sport costs from $83,700 for the SE to $170,200 for the SV Carbon, before destination, according to Land Rover USA. The most direct electric rival, Porsche's Cayenne Electric, starts at $126,300 plus $2,350 delivery in S form, which makes 536 hp.
Electrek estimates a US price of $120,000 to $130,000 and expects the Sport Electric to arrive in 2027 as a 2028 model. JLR has confirmed neither. A straight currency conversion of the UK price isn't a useful guide either, because British sticker prices include 20 percent VAT.
Also unannounced: the EPA range, the US power rating, and the charging port. The Range Rover Electric comes to North America with a built-in NACS port and access to Tesla Superchargers. JLR hasn't said whether US-spec Sport Electrics will get the same setup.
The next step is a US announcement from JLR North America with pricing, timing, and an EPA rating. Until a delivery date is set, the Sport Electric stays off our list of every new EV coming to America in 2027.
