Kia Raises Every 2027 Sorento Trim by Just $200 as Sales Climb 37%
Every gas-powered trim rises by the same $200, and the only listed change is a green paint borrowed from the Telluride. Hybrid and plug-in pricing is still to come.

Kia has priced the gas-powered 2027 Sorento, and the story is how little moved. Every trim costs exactly $200 more than it did when the 2026 model went on sale, so the midsize three-row SUV now starts at $32,590 before a $1,495 destination charge.
That restraint comes while the Sorento is selling better, not worse. Kia lists the Sorento, up 37 percent year over year, among eight models with double-digit growth behind the brand's best quarter on record.
2027 Kia Sorento prices by trim
- LX: $32,590
- S FWD: $35,490
- S AWD: $37,490
- EX FWD: $38,690
- EX AWD: $40,190
- SX: $42,490
- X-Line EX: $42,990
- X-Line SX: $44,290
- X-Line SX-Prestige: $46,990
- X-Pro SX-Prestige: $47,990
With destination included, the spread runs from $34,085 for the LX to $49,485 for the off-road-flavored X-Pro SX-Prestige. The pricing Kia published covers gas models only.

The lone change Kia lists for 2027 is a paint swap. Black Jade Green, a shade Kia says has done well on the new Telluride, replaces Jungle Green.
Everything else carries over from last year's update. For 2026, Kia made Terrain Mode standard on all-wheel-drive models, added gloss-black trim to the X-Line and X-Pro, and fitted Bose audio as standard on the SX, according to its 2026 pricing release.
Two engines, two seating layouts
The trim ladder also marks the engine split. Kia's spec sheet lists a 186-hp 2.5-liter four for the LX and S, while higher trims get a turbocharged 2.5 with 274 hp and 311 lb-ft. The LX and S seat seven; the rest of the lineup seats six.

Kia notes that the gas Sorento is assembled in the United States. The Sorento Hybrid and Sorento Plug-in Hybrid are excluded from that footnote.
The Sorento is the latest Kia to get 2027 pricing in recent weeks. The Sportage starts at $28,990, and the K5 sedan dropped its EX trim and still starts under $28,000.
What's still missing
Kia hasn't announced 2027 pricing for the Sorento Hybrid or Plug-in Hybrid, even as the company says Sorento Hybrid sales jumped 112 percent in September. It also hasn't detailed any equipment changes by trim beyond the new color.
