2027 Ford F-150 Carhartt: What $4,195 Actually Gets You
Ford’s first F-150 Carhartt starts at $62,660 on an XLT SuperCrew 4x4. Most of the hardware comes from the Tremor and Lobo; the brand is in the cloth, the badges, and the floor mats.

Ford opened order books for the first F-150 Carhartt on September 15, priced the package at $4,195, and put the truck's starting figure at $62,660 before destination. Deliveries begin in early 2027. We covered the reveal in our 2027 F-150 Carhartt news story; this is the follow-up for anyone with the configurator open, trying to work out whether $4,195 is a package price or a brand tax.
The short version: it is both, and Ford has been careful about which parts are which.
What the $4,195 buys, item by item
Ford's own list for the package, which is offered only on the XLT SuperCrew 4x4, breaks down like this:
- Wheels: unique 20-inch machined-and-painted alloys.
- Front end: a modified grille, a cowl hood, and the "signature headlamps" that The Drive and others identified as the Lobo's. The hood is Tremor-pattern.
- Badging and graphics: Carhartt-logo fender vents, textured lower-rocker graphics, and a tailgate-corner graphic.
- Underneath and behind: dual exhaust, off-road running boards, and a Tough Bed spray-in liner with the Carhartt logo in the front bed wall.
- Inside: two-tone gray-and-brown cloth seats with the logo embroidered on the front headrests, updated door panels and console lid, a steering wheel with accent stitching, and all-weather floor mats with a Carhartt logo and a texture Ford says is taken from the bottom of Carhartt's new tool bag.

Two things worth knowing about that list. The seats are not duck canvas. Ford's color and materials specialist, Bhavna Mistry, describes brown duck as "the basis for the color story," and the seam layout and triple stitching copy the construction lines of a Carhartt bib, but the fabric is an automotive cloth. Ford published an abrasion and soil-resistance statement for the Super Duty Carhartt's seat material; it has not published one for the F-150 version yet.
The second is that much of the hardware is already in Ford's parts bin. The hood, running boards, and dual exhaust are Tremor pieces; the headlamps come from the Lobo street truck; 20-inch wheels are a stock XLT upgrade. What is new is the brown-and-gray interior scheme, the textured exterior graphics, and the bed liner stamp. If you think of the package as "Tremor appearance hardware plus a Carhartt interior," the price starts to make sense, because a Tremor costs considerably more than an XLT.
What you cannot delete
The package requires the XLT trim, SuperCrew cab, and four-wheel drive. Ford has not said which XLT equipment group sits under the $62,660 starting price, which engines can be paired with it, or which paint colors are offered. The press trucks are a stone-tan color Ford has not named. For the Super Duty version Ford listed six colors and two required option packages; the F-150 release lists none, so expect the configurator to answer those questions when the 2027 build-and-price tool goes live. As of this week it still shows only 2026 trucks.
Destination is not in Ford's number either. Ford's footnote says "plus destination and delivery." Edmunds, Cars.com, and Pickup Truck Talk all put the delivered price at $65,455, which implies the same $2,795 fee the 2027 Raptor carries. Ford has not confirmed it.

The value math
Subtract the package from the starting price and the underlying truck is a $58,465 XLT SuperCrew 4x4. That is well above a base 2026 XLT, which Ford Authority priced from $45,695 before destination, so the Carhartt is built on a well-optioned XLT, not a stripper. It is also, before destination, within a few hundred dollars of where a 2026 Lariat started ($62,355 delivered per Cars.com, roughly $59,560 before the fee).
That is the real comparison a buyer faces. For Carhartt money you can have a Lariat with leather and the higher trim's standard equipment. The Carhartt gives you cloth, a brand, and the look. Ford has not released 2027 XLT, Lariat, or King Ranch prices, so the gap may shift, but for the 2027 trims Ford has priced the direction has been down: the entry Tremor is reported about $5,300 cheaper than 2026, the Raptor about $4,000, and the base XL rose only about $500.
Against other F-150 appearance packages the Carhartt is expensive by a wide margin. The XLT Chrome Appearance Package was $1,620 for 2026; the FX4 Off-Road Package $1,320; the old Heritage Edition package was $1,975 on top of a required equipment group when Ford last offered it for 2023. The Carhartt package is the priciest appearance option Ford has put on an XLT, but it is also the only one that changes the hood, lamps, boards, and interior at once. The 2027 Two-Tone Package is the closer comparison for buyers who want the look without the brand, and it sits on different trims.
The Super Duty Carhartt, which Ford says is already shipping, uses the same $4,195 figure on an XLT Crew Cab 4x4 from a reported $61,095 before destination. Ford never published that price itself; CarPro and TFL Truck did. The two trucks share the design language, down to the tool-bag floor mats, so if you have seen a Super Duty Carhartt at a dealer, you have seen most of the F-150's interior.

What the package is really selling
Ford and Carhartt have a story they want told, and it is a good one. Carhartt was founded in Detroit in 1889, Ford says its assembly-line workers wore Carhartt as early as 1923, and the companies formalized a partnership at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2026 that covers technician workwear, scholarships, and a Detroit tool bank. The F-150 reveal coincided with Ford and Carhartt volunteers rebuilding a youth ball field on Belle Isle, where the new dugouts have benches made from F-150 tailgates.
None of that changes the truck. It does explain why Ford is confident the package will sell at $4,195 without a limited-production number attached: there is no volume cap and no numbered plaque. Ford's own language calls it a package, like FX4, and nothing in the release limits how many it will build.

Who should buy it
If you want an XLT with the Tremor's face and a durable cloth interior, and you were going to spend into the high fifties anyway, the Carhartt is the only way to get that combination from the factory. If you were cross-shopping Lariat, the leather is worth more than the logo. If you were cross-shopping a Silverado, our F-150 vs. Silverado 1500 cost comparison still applies; the Carhartt does not change the engine or the fuel economy, and the 2027 lineup's hands-free BlueCruise towing is a 2027 lineup feature, not a Carhartt one.
What we don't know yet
- The destination charge, the compatible engines, the underlying equipment group, and the paint colors. All should appear when Ford's 2027 configurator opens.
- The full 2027 F-150 price list. Until the XLT and Lariat numbers are out, the Lariat comparison above rests on 2026 pricing.
- A materials specification for the F-150's seat cloth equivalent to the one Ford published for the Super Duty.
- The production start date beyond "early 2027."
What's next
The 2027 build-and-price tool and the full price sheet are the triggers. When they land we will rerun the math against the 2027 Lariat rather than the 2026 one, and check whether Ford kept the package at $4,195 once the destination fee is on the page.
