LA Auto Show 2026: 24 Brands, One Confirmed Newcomer, and a Debut List Still to Come

Organizers have locked the dates, 24 brands, and a gasoline sponsor; the debut list has slipped to early November. Here is what is confirmed and what is a guess.

The 2026 Los Angeles Auto Show opens to the public on Friday, Nov. 20, and runs through Sunday, Nov. 29, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, with the AutoMobility LA media and industry day on Thursday, Nov. 19. Organizers have published the brand roster, the test-drive lineup, and the theme for the year. What they have not published, as of this writing, is the list of debuts, which has slipped from "late October" in the August announcement to "early November" in the Oct. 13 release.

That matters because this is a show where the floor is mostly already-announced metal. Organizers' own Oct. 15 list of expected vehicles reads like a recap of the fall launch season, from the Rivian R2 and Genesis GV90 to the 2027 Hyundai Tucson that debuted in New York on Oct. 1. The question for LA is which of those get U.S. pricing, and whether anyone brings something the country has not seen yet. This page will be updated as the official debut list and automaker announcements land.

Dates, venue, and the Energy theme

Public days: Nov. 20–29, 2026. Media and industry day (AutoMobility LA): Nov. 19. Venue: Los Angeles Convention Center, downtown. The 2026 program is built around three pillars the organizers call Energy, Autonomy, and Entertainment, with Energy leading. In the Oct. 13 release, the show framed Energy as the full spread of gas, hybrid, and electric powertrains, plus the things around them: fuel quality for the millions of gasoline cars still on California roads, charging access, and grid capacity.

Chevron is the presenting sponsor, and the sponsorship is not just a logo on the banners. The company plans a consumer activation for its reformulated Techron gasoline additive across all 10 public days, and the organizers point to Chevron's El Segundo refinery and its branded stations as the reason the partnership fits an LA show. For a show held in the country's largest EV market, a gasoline additive as the headline sponsor is a telling read on where the organizers think the 2026 buyer is.

Who's coming, and who isn't

The Oct. 15 release lists 24 brands with vehicle showcases: Acura, Alfa Romeo, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, Genesis, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia, Lucid, Nissan, Porsche (through the Porsche Downtown LA dealer), Ram, Rivian, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, and Volkswagen. Sixteen of them offer test drives or rides included with admission: Alfa Romeo, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, Jeep, Kia, Lucid, Nissan, Ram, Rivian, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, and Volkswagen.

The absences are as informative as the list. Scout Motors, which brought the Traveler and Terra to the 2025 show as its first auto-show appearance in decades, is not on the 2026 roster; neither are Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Mazda, Volvo, Polestar, or Lincoln. For the German premium brands that is nothing new, but Scout's absence is worth noting given how much of its launch story is still open, as we covered in our ranking of upcoming pickups. Organizers say brands, vehicles, and experiences are subject to change, so expect this list to move before Nov. 19.

The one confirmed newcomer: FullGood Motor

The only company the organizers have explicitly described as making a U.S. debut is FullGood Motor, a Beijing manufacturer of retro-styled plug-in hybrids. According to the show's Oct. 6 release, FullGood will show the Summer, a seven-seat people mover styled after 1950s vans, during the public days and use AutoMobility LA to meet potential partners. The pitch is specific: the company wants a U.S. partner to do final assembly from exported components and sell the vehicles under that partner's brand, plus a distribution partner and investors. The Summer is not for sale in the U.S., and the release says that depends on what FullGood finds in Los Angeles.

Read that model against the federal connected-vehicle rule, which bars Chinese-linked connected-vehicle software from model year 2027 and the hardware from 2030, and the pitch gets complicated: a design assembled and badged by an American company still has to answer where its connected software comes from, and the release does not address that. It is the same set of questions we worked through in our look at Canadian assembly as a route into the U.S. market. Whether any U.S. company takes the offer is a different question, and nothing in the release suggests one has.

What to expect from each brand

The table below splits what the organizers have listed from what we expect but nobody has confirmed. Status reads "Listed" when the vehicle appears in the Oct. 15 organizer release, and "Our expectation" when it is our read of an automaker's calendar, not an announcement. We will move rows up as official announcements arrive.

Seen through the Energy lens, the listed floor is a hybrid show more than an EV show. Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, Nissan, and Jeep all lead with hybrids; the full EVs come from Rivian, Lucid, Tesla, Genesis, Cadillac, GMC, and Porsche's dealer stand; and Ford, Ram, Dodge, Chevrolet, and Volkswagen are showing up with gasoline. That split mirrors how the organizers described the market in their own release: more interest in hybrids, a return of gas-powered models, and an EV segment that is still being worked out.

Our triggers: what we're watching

Hyundai is the one to watch. The 2027 Tucson has had its world premiere, a U.S. feature reveal, and a batch of U.S.-spec press photos posted on Oct. 26 and 27, but no U.S. price, EPA rating, or on-sale date. LA is the obvious place to close those gaps. Subaru has two open threads, the 2028 Getaway EV and a production STI, but the organizers list only the Forester Wilderness Hybrid, and Subaru's own newsroom has not tied anything to LA. Acura's trademark filings for new off-road SUVs are a story we have covered, but a filing is not a show car. Lexus has priced the 2027 RZ and is not on the brand list at all, so a Lexus debut in LA is not on our board.

Two weeks earlier, the SEMA Show in Las Vegas runs Nov. 3–6, and several automakers, Honda and Mitsubishi among them, have already said they are saving reveals for it. Anything that debuts there will be on an LA stand without being an LA debut.

If you're going

Tickets are sold through LAAutoShow.com, and all test drives and rides are included with admission. The outdoor LADWP Test Track outside South Hall is where the electric and hybrid models run; street drives leave from Gilbert Lindsay Plaza; the Bronco Built Wild and Camp Jeep courses are inside and around the building. Chevron's Techron activation runs all 10 public days. Specific test-drive models had not been posted when this was written.

What we don't know yet

  • The official debut list. The organizers now say early November; until then, every LA "reveal" in circulation is a guess.
  • The final brand roster. Twenty-four brands are listed, with a standing note that participation can change.
  • Whether any automaker other than FullGood brings a vehicle the U.S. has not seen. No OEM newsroom we checked on Oct. 28 had tied a premiere to LA.
  • Main-stage speakers and the AutoMobility LA schedule, also promised for early November.

What's next

We will update this page when the debut list is published, as each automaker announces an LA-tied reveal, and after the brand roster is finalized. Once AutoMobility LA opens on Nov. 19, the debuts themselves will be covered as separate news.
