Nissan Will Pay RAV4 Owners $1,500 to Switch to the 2027 Rogue Hybrid
A dealer bulletin reported by CarsDirect gives owners of 2021-or-newer RAV4s $1,500 extra toward a Rogue Hybrid through January 4, stacking with 4.9% financing. We ran the math.

Nissan is offering a $1,500 trade-in bonus to Toyota RAV4 owners who swap into a 2027 Rogue Hybrid, according to a dealer bulletin obtained by CarsDirect. The offer started on November 3 and runs through January 4, 2027, and it comes one week after Toyota raised prices on the 2027 RAV4.
The terms are narrow. The trade-in has to be a 2021-or-newer RAV4, the purchase or lease has to be a 2027 Rogue Hybrid, and the bonus can pass to another member of the same household. CarsDirect reports it stacks with Nissan's current offers, which include 4.9% APR for 60 months. The full Rogue Hybrid price ladder is in our 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid price and release-date guide.
Nissan hasn't announced the program publicly, and the bulletin, as CarsDirect describes it, names only the RAV4, so whether a RAV4 Hybrid qualifies is the publication's reading rather than a stated term. The company also hasn't said whether the bonus applies in every region or on every Rogue Hybrid trim.
What $1,500 does to the price gap
Every Rogue Hybrid has all-wheel drive, and the cheapest one, the SV, lists at $37,065 with Nissan's $1,575 destination charge. The 2026 RAV4 Hybrid LE AWD cost $34,750 with destination, a $2,315 advantage for Toyota. Take $1,500 off the Nissan and the gap shrinks to $815. Against the 2027 RAV4 Hybrid LE, which Toyota priced at $33,750 with destination in front-drive form, the Rogue SV ends up $1,815 higher instead of $3,315. Toyota hasn't published 2027 all-wheel-drive prices yet, as we noted in our 2027 RAV4 pricing story.

The financing matters as much as the bonus. A $35,565 Rogue SV, the price after the bonus, works out to about $670 a month over 60 months at 4.9% with nothing down. A $34,750 RAV4 LE AWD at the 7% rate we assumed in our CR-V Hybrid vs RAV4 Hybrid comparison comes to about $688, with roughly $1,900 more interest over the loan. Toyota's own subsidized rates, where they exist, would narrow that, and the bonus doesn't change the mileage picture: the Rogue Hybrid's 38 mpg combined still trails the 43 mpg of a front-drive RAV4 LE.
The catch is still inventory
The SV doesn't reach dealers until January, so for most of the offer window the only Rogue Hybrid in stock is the $43,065 SR with the Technology Package. With the bonus that car becomes $41,565, or about $782 a month at 4.9% over 60 months. The West Coast lease CarsDirect lists, $439 a month for 36 months with $4,959 due at signing on a 10,000-mile allowance, totals $20,763 over the term, about $577 a month all-in, and applies only in that region.
Nissan is holding its sticker prices this year rather than cutting them, as our price-cut tracker shows, so a targeted trade-in bonus is the cheaper way to go after the one group of buyers most likely to be shopping a RAV4 again: people who already own one and have read about the RAV4 wait times. The program expires January 4; Toyota and Honda haven't answered with anything comparable so far.
